My Golden Age

My Golden Age

I was 8 when I started playing piano. I thought I would fail and be terrible at it. At first, we had a teacher who we didn’t like much. We searched for another teacher. Finally, we found one. She was splendid! She made everything we learned so much fun! We had many classes together. We didn’t get too far though.

Soon, the Coronavirus started. Everyone went into lockdown mode.

We had to stay apart. Sometimes, I dreamt about her. I hoped she wold be okay. She is very important to me. I couldn’t wait to see that smile again, and hear that laugh of hers again.

During the lockdown, I learned how to play Hedwig’s Theme. And even though I knew I was only a beginner, I learned how to play Fur Elise without the chords. I couldn’t believe I got it!

Sometimes, the piano can get addictive. I experiment with the songs I know, by changing how the piano sounds. You can change the sound to many different types of instruments.

I realized that I need some kind of music in my life. And I recommend that you should have some, too.
