Bottlenose Dolphin

Some people say dogs are very smart. Tis true, but I know an animal smarter than dogs. This animal is called… ‘The Bottlenose Dolphin!’

Hunting

The way these creatures find food is by using echolocation. Bottlenose dolphins eat fish. It isn’t easy catch fish, but they have an amazing way. Here’s how they do it: When they see a school of fish passing by, they come close to it. Then, they start circling the school. It looks like a tornado of fish. One by one, a dolphin comes in and snatches a fish out of the group. They keep on doing this until all the dolphins are full.

Please remember, dolphins can hunt using many techniques, and so this is just one of them.

Weight and Length

A bottlenose dolphin’s average weight is 300 kg. It’s length can reach to over 4 meters. Bottlenose dolphins are not born very big.

Not all people care much about animals. In my opinion, it’s fun to learn about them. But we also have to stop killing them. I hope you try to make a difference.
