Gingerbread Cookies

Do you want something sweet, with a lot of spices on Christmas? Well, you’re in luck. As you read on, you will see a recipe of how to make… gingerbread cookies! Mmmmmmm….delicious! But just as a reminder, DO NOT ADD TOO MUCH CINNAMON! It will taste really gross and spicy. And one more warning…you better be well rested because this can take up to 2hrs and 20mins. (For everything including the baking time in the oven.) Here is the recipe:
Gingerbread Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/ 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- 1 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/2 cup molasses
Directions
- The dough is sticky once it’s all beaten together so it absolutely MUST be chilled for at least 3 hours. Make cookie dough and let it chill for a night. Make sure dough is firm.
- Scoop out 1/2 of the prepared cookie dough, put it onto a long sheet of plastic wrap, wrap it up, and flatten it out. Repeat with other 1/2 of dough. Then chill it. You should actually have 2 discs.
- After chilling the dough, roll out the chilled cookie dough discs until about 1/4-inch thick. Don’t be worried to add more flour to work surface. The flour spots on top of your shaped cookie dough will bake off.
DO NOT ADD EXTRA CINAMONN. IT IS YUCKY, SPICY, AND SPICY! But anyway, when you make your cookie, make sure you have some stencil. Have fun!
