Games to play on a Rainy Day

Is it raining outside? How bad? Really bad? I am guessing you’re bored at home, with nothing to do. Here are 8 things you can do to have fun on a gloomy day!

D.I.Y. Indoor treasure hunt – Take a piece of paper and write down 10 things you can find at home. Play with your whole family! Whoever wins, gets a prize. You have to create a prize using your talents in arts and crafts.

Indoor forts – Take chairs, pillows, blankets, flashlights, and books!! Make a fort and enjoy playing games in there. You could tell scary stories at night!

Indoor Obstacle Course – Take random objects from your house and lay them out wherever you can. Remember to not put them so close otherwise it will be too easy. Play with your family to make it more fun.

Movie Marathon – Get all cuddly and cozy on your couch. Make sure you have snacks like popcorn, Cheetos, cookies etc. You should have blankets and pillow, too. Then, pick 3 movies. Eat and enjoy!!

Make your own card game! – Take some index cards or sticky notes, and get imaginative and creative! Think of a card game you and your friends can play!

Start a recipe book – Take your favorite recipes for cooking and baking. In a special notebook or diary, write down the recipes on each page. If you want to cook something you’ve already made before, then look in your book and you’ll have it!

Have a tea party – Take some cups and stuffed animals. On a table or on the ground, set up your animals in a circle, and make some pretend food. Have a fun tea party and talk to your stuffed animals about your feelings.

Have a dance party – Invite your friends over, play loud, booming music, and dance like you mean it! If you can, get a small little disco ball and use that!
